This classic Maine home was built in the 1880’s and is just 29 miles from Acadia National Park. It is located on McHeard Cove in lovely East Blue Hill.
The house accommodates up to 6 people with 3 bedrooms (a primary bedroom with a queen bed [water view], one guest room with a queen bed, and one guest room with 2 twin beds) and 2 bathrooms (one with a stall shower and the other with a bathtub).
The surrounding area offers rocky beaches, hiking paths, and nature preserves within walking distance or a short drive. Acadia National Park is 29 miles from the house, and there are many off-the-beaten path options on the Blue Hill peninsula.
Blue Hill (4 mi drive to town center) has a grocery store, a food co-op/natural food store, a drug store/pharmacy, a library, and a hospital with an emergency room and in-patient care. There are also restaurants, galleries, retail shops, a wine shop, and salons/wellness services in Blue Hill, around the peninsula, and in the city of Ellsworth (13 miles). Local businesses offer kayak and bike rentals, as well as boat tours of Blue Hill Bay and the surrounding islands.
